Atlanta Karate and the After School Program dates back to 2005 when Sensei Tanner Critz created the program at one local school with about a dozen students. He soon added a second and third class and brought Sensei Shawn McElroy on to help. After moving to Arkansas in 2008, Sensei Shawn and Sensei Doug Storm took over the program, expanding it to 8 schools and over 180 students per week. We currently strive to teach students in the first grade and higher the benefits of martial arts while instilling confidence, self control and a non-defeatist attitude.
All of our instructors are insured, have APS fingerprint/background checks and are certified in CPR, First Aid and AED operation.

About Cuong Nhu
Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts combines hard style punches and kicks with soft style flowing movements from styles like aikido and judo. We combine aspects of seven different martial arts styles. Our youth program focuses mainly on Shotokan forms and kata. Our children do not spar in class. Further, we work hard to integrate a spiritual philosophy and a code of ethics into our training.
